I wake up in the morning to my phone’s alarm. It has a function on it that allows me to place some text on my phone’s screen every time the alarm sounds, so I thought it would be a good idea to place the latter part of Joshua 24:15 as my daily reminder:
“As for me and my house, we are going to serve the Lord.”
However, this is the message that appears every time:
“As for me and my house, we are going to serve…”
Now, I know it is mostly a coincidence from the sentence being too long, but it made me think, hmmm… I wonder if that is the daily choice we all have to make?
Are we going to serve ourselves, our passions, and our own interests, or are we going to serve God, as well as our fellow brothers and sisters (like we would want to be served)?
God gives us this choice, whether we are working, studying, or out in the mission field.
Whom will you serve?
