I’ve experienced the highs and lows of adjusting to a completely different culture and language. Long term mission work is not easy all the time. But I’ve also experienced a closeness and dependence on Christ that I wouldn’t trade for all the ease in the world. I take note of all the ‘little things’ Christ is doing, and they are countless. I think of the words of Isaiah 53:11 – ‘He shall see of the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied.’ This in essence captures it. Hard work, satisfying work. Worth every drop of sweat, worth every tear. You’ll find out who you really are and do things you never knew you could. The choice to do mission work is one you’ll never regret. You don’t need to question if it’s God’s will, for He said: GO.
